NatureArchive.ca

NatureArchive.ca is a free photo resource for organizations and groups who are working to preserve biodiversity and the habitats it depends on. Please peruse the galleries to find what you are looking for. If you need images to help illustrate your campaign or for educational purposes please get in touch using the Contact Us form and I will provide you with instructions on downloading images without paying any fees. Since I can only provide limited photo research to help you find images, please use site's search function to find the ones that work for you.

The archive makes available thousands of images in my (Scott Leslie) portfolio of wildlife, environmental, and nature photography. I'm a naturalist and conservationist and have been a  professional photographer and writer for two decades. My pictures and writing have been published widely throughout North America over the past twenty years and I'm the author of seven books on nature and conservation, including 100 Under 100- The Race to Save the World's Rarest Living Things;  Untamed Atlantic Canada-Exploring the Region's Biodiversity Havens; and a four volume set on the identification, understanding and conservation of North America's birds, including Woodland Birds of North America. I was a co-founder of the Tobeatic Wilderness Committee, an organization that was instrumental in protecting the largest remaining wilderness in the Maritime provinces. I continue to work on biodiversity issues in Nova Scotia.

I am donating my photographic work and my time administering the site in an effort to assist those involved in biodiversity conservation, so any donations (however small) to defray time, web hosting and other costs would, of course, be much appreciated (but not necessary)! Please contact me by email for  details on how to donate. I also appreciate photo credits for any images  used.
